The resulting liqueur has a delicious combination of the tangy and sweet Yuzu goodness, making it perfect for a summer cocktail or as an aperitif or digestif after a night of good food and wine. ABV: 37.5% Tasting Notes:Nose: Zesty, sweet viscous, fresh, fragrant, and jammy citrus.  Palate: Creamy & jammy mouth coating citrus, followed by a zesty, verdant, citrusy aftertaste and a slightly piquant finishing on the roof of your palate and throat. A great take on a Limoncello but with a lime base and in a gin form. Ingredients: Lime Peel, Lime Juice, Lemon Myrtle, Juniper, Mr Kipplin Lemon Bakewell Pie, Citric Acid, Sugar Production: At Granddad Jack's, we strive for difference in flavour and a unique twist in the way we make spirits. For this release we not only used lime in the traditional sense but crafted a sprit that included a native lemon myrtle and even some lemon pie which was distilled into the batch for a light pastry note.   This Granddad Jack’s limited-release liqueur is our twist on the traditional Italian Limoncello. Returning by popular demand and thanks to a good growing season, we introduce our third batch of Yuzucello.  Made with Yuzu, a unique citrus fruit, originally from China but now popular in Japanese cuisine. The Yuzu has a beautiful lemony, mandarin, and bergamot flavour. We were lucky to source ours locally from Buck's Farm, located in the heart of the Tweed Valley. Buck's Farm has been operated for over 40 years by Gerard ‘Buck’ Buchanan, a passionate farmer and all-around good bloke who was the first commercial grower in Australia. We hand-picked a couple of hundred Yuzus and, once back at the distillery, got peeling! The fresh peels sat for several days, macerating with our Penny Vodka. Then the infused spirit was sweetened with a hint of sugar and just the right amount of fresh Yuzu juice to bring out a brilliant tang. The resulting liqueur has a delicious combination of the tangy and sweet Yuzu goodness, making it perfect for a summer cocktail or as an aperitif or digestif after a night of good food and wine. When enjoying Yuzucello straight, serve chilled (but not over ice), with soda or a scoop of coconut ice cream to really savour the flavours.  ABV: 25% Tasting Notes:Nose: Sweet and citrus, yuzu forward.
